A Mother’s Journey

A Mothers Journey

A Mother’s journey

is that of a woman

who has chosen a higher call.

A higher call to give of herself and

seemingly sacrifice it all.

She sacrifices her love, time, and patience,

sometimes her dreams, desires, and goals.

She must fast and pray to see her way

so that resentment does not grow.

She makes up her heart and

she makes up her mind

that it will be time well rent,

because the fruit that she shall

harvest from all her preparation

is a journey of time well spent.

She looks to the hills

from whence cometh her help.

Her help comes from the Lord above.

For He gave her this reward,

the fruit of her womb,

It is a higher calling of love.

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the Lord which hath made heaven and earth.

Psalm 121:1-2 (KJV)
