Cornbread is a soul food staple and loved across the county. Some like it sweet, others prefer a more savory cornbread. From muffins to perfectly cut squares, there are more than a few ways to enjoy cornbread. What’s your favorite recipe? Grab the kiddos and make cornbread together for this fun activity.
Fairy Cornbread Recipe Contest
Children can submit their cornbread recipe for a chance to be included in the book “Fairy Cornbread.”
Entry Rules:
1. Must live in the U.S.
2. Children ages 4 to 9 years old may participate.
3. Children must submit the following:
- the cornbread recipe,
- a video of them making the cornbread,
- a picture of them holding the book,
- a paragraph explaining why their recipe should be chosen and what special ingredient makes their cornbread a “fairy” cornbread.
4. All entries must be submitted by email to hello@fairycornbread.com by May 15th, 2021.
5. All entries should include your name, age, grade level, address and phone number.
- The top three contestants will be selected to submit their cornbread via overnight mail.
- Winners Announced June 1st on the authors Instagram page @drariantmoore
- 1st place: Name and recipe added to the book “Fairy Cornbread”
- 2nd and 3rd place: Recipes added to www.fairycornbread.com

*Siblings/friends can enter together.
